DGB Asia Berhad ("DGB or Group") was incorporated on 19 January 2006 in Malaysia, as a Private Limited Company under the Company Act 1965. DGB was officially listed on the ACE Market on 8 December 2009.


DGB was mainly focused on providing innovative and comprehensive AIDC solutions, software, and engineering services to various industries. In recent years, the AIDC market has grown saturated with many competitors that compete on price, resulting in thin margins in positive ways.


To ensure long-term economic sustainability, DGB has broadly expended and diversified into new business segments: 


Leisure and Hospitality

In 2018, DGB has acquired a Company, CLI Investment Limited (“CLI”) which invested in and operation of a hotel in Taiwan. CLI operates a premium boutique hotel in the prime residential and commercial district of Da’an, Taipei City, Taiwan.


The Kimpton Da An Hotel is a 14-story building with a 5-story basement carpark and 3 floors of roof-erected thereon comprising 129 rooms. The Kimpton Da An Hotel has been in operation since March 2019 and is currently managed by a third-party international hotel operator, InterContinental Hotels Group (Asia Pacific) Pte Ltd, under the “KIMPTON” brand.


Logistics Services 

In 2019, DGB ventured into the business of parcel delivery and collection services under the brand name “Ping-U”. Ping-U is an e-commerce logistics and fulfillment services, provider. Ping-U allows customers to send and collect parcels anytime at designated delivery and collection points known as “Ping-U Points” at their convenience.


Ping-U also provides warehousing and e-fulfillment service centers. Ping-U offers a complete, affordable, and efficient supply chain solution to optimize customers’ orders and support their business growth.


Smart Vending Machines

In 2020, in light of the opportunities presented by the COVID-19 outbreak, DGB ventured into the business of smart vending machines under the brand name “SpaceX”. SpaceX smart vending machines are one of the pioneers with built-in facial recognition technology, and user-friendly, interactive, and cashless machines.


SpaceX vending machines provide customers with a range of goods for purchase and an alternative digital out-of-home (DOOH) platform for advertisement placement. With face recognition technology, SpaceX provides brand owners with valuable insights into consumers’ purchasing behavior.


This diversification is intended to transform the Group into a diversified entity and give rise to new revenue streams for the Group.
